Hotel Chlorine Presents:

Social Sculpture

Removing the barriers of a white cube by placing art and music in an unpretentious context gives a casual way for anyone to have a special connection with the arts. Through this accessible and inclusive lens, I aim to expose a variety of audiences to the ways that gathering around art can become a vessel for enriching experiences and community.

Battle of the Free-est Spirit
12/3/2022

How much of you is a performance? Is your spirit the 'realest' and most carefree?

These are questions I ask at large in response to the social landscape of influencer culture that we all partake in through Instagram. This one night show featured 11 artists, 12 vendors and performances by 7 local bands, with art installed inside and around the venue (House of J).

Weaving Workshop
12/3/2022

A couple hours before Battle of the Free-est Spirit officially began, I hosted a free weaving workshop in the indoor gallery space. I provided as many materials as I could, including an instructional zine, for everyone that signed up. I walked through the process from creating a loom to finishing the weaving, answering questions as they came.

Autumnal Herbal Tea Party
10/6/2022

My sculpture Natural Bond has been installed for live music activation, and displayed within Lawndale’s Big Show 2022. In those instances we gathered Around it but in October we gathered Inside and Underneath. The hand blended tea was provided by herbalists and fellow creatives: Magdalena (@naturenl0ve) and Jade (@supracosm)

Parking, Walking, Peeing and Talking
are the motions of a party
(8/21/2022)

An art and music experience hosted at House of J, no cover fee and free pizza/beer for all attendees. Visual artists displayed their work in the house and garage alongside small businesses vending their crafts or fresh food.

Featuring live performances by local musicians/artists: Shama The Human, Vivaldi's Green Jacket, and Rinas. Puppet show performed by: Andrea Garcia

April Showers are May Flowers
(4/30/2022)

Installations transformed this backyard into an immersive sculpture garden, setting the scene for live experimental performances by Ak'Chamel and Vivaldi's Green Jacket.

Music and communion activate these pieces to create a unique environment where the visual and sonic intersect.

Imperial Vintage x Hotel Chlorine
pop-up shop
(8/15/2021)

A local vintage streetwear shop partnered with me for a 1 day pop-up installation and shop.

I upcycled thrifted clothes by making cyanotype prints on them, applying vinyl transfers, and water-based printing. The fresh carnations and roses I strung on wire for the photo wall were provided by my mother Viviana who is a floral designer, the couch was rented from

666Juveniles
(7/25/2019)

In my childhood apartment, me and my best friend Sarah Perkison (@666female) installed our artwork all over the walls, completely transforming the space. It was my first experience hosting a show in an untraditional setting. It sparked a desire to continue paving my own avenues to share my art and the art of those I admire.
